DEPOSITS.
All deposits are non-refundable.
Included in the advertised price of the horse is a non-refundable deposit which can range from £150 to £350 depending upon the price of the horse. The deposit is strictly for taking the horse off the market, and its value is exhausted when the horses is marked. "SOLD".
The remaining balance due is the actual price of the horse. When a deposit is taken, the horse is taken off the market, and other buyers are turned away. The deposit to compensate for this loss. Whether the horse is off the market for one day or a number of weeks, potential buyers will have seen that the horse is marked "SOLD" and inquiries are lost.
Young horses go through awkward growth stages, and do not always look like perfect little horses suitable for advertising and viewing. They grow winter coats; become bum-high, etc. Therefore taking them off the market, for even a short period of time, is likely to result in a material loss, or delay of 6 months more before we feel they are suitable for advertising again. Buyers should be fully committed to completing the purchase before paying a deposit. This is the industry standard, and there are no exceptions.
VETTING.
Vetting is welcome, however deposits will NOT be accepted, and horses will NOT be taken off the market until vetting is complete.
Please be advised that youngsters do not have the same conformation as adult horses. Youngsters may be bum high, or be slightly toed-out until their chests expand, as they reach adulthood. This is normal, and youngsters having the conformation of youngsters will not be accepted as a valid reason for non-completion of sale.
